Pre-University College Inauguration - 2008

2008 saw the achievement of yet another milestone for the Amruthur Education Trust. The Trust had been striving to further the education of its wards by building a pre-university college. The Goverment of Karnataka sanctioned the Trust to build and operate the college in late 2007. The end of 2007 and the beginning of 2008 saw a hubbub of activity, as the resources for running the college were collected, and the faculty were found. June 16, 2008 saw the grand inauguration of the Pre-University College.

Justice M. Ramakrishna and Mrs. Ramakrishna were the chief guests for the function. After lighting the candle and formally declaring the college open, the chief guests took a tour of the institution run by the Amruthur Education Trust. The new boiler and kitchen equipment donated by the Rotary Club of Spain were also inagurated by Mrs. Ramakrishna.
